What it does

Owns and operates the Swiss financial market infrastructure and is owned by around 120 national and international financial institutions. On the payments side it runs SIC interbank clearing, eBill, Direct Debit (LSV), Debit Services, Bancomat services and payment standardisation for Swiss banks, alongside the Swiss and Spanish exchanges, post-trade services and financial information. Its own company page says: "As the competence center for Swiss payment transactions, SIX supports banks with innovative services in an increasingly digitalized world." (https://www.six-group.com/en/company.html). SIX is the former owner of SIX Payment Services, the acquiring business now trading as Worldline Schweiz AG, and a shareholder in Worldline.
