Maksu

What it does

Vienna payment institution licensed by the FMA in 2024, selling online merchants account-to-account payments and a virtual POS platform (Maksu VPOS). Its licence covers cash placement and withdrawal, direct debits, credit transfers and acquiring, but not Zahlungskartengeschäft, so the acceptance it sells is bank-transfer based rather than card based. The operating company, its seat and its two managing directors are in Vienna; the sole shareholder is Maksu Holding OÜ, Estonia.
