Erste Group is Austria's oldest savings bank and a Central and Eastern European banking group whose Erste Bank und Sparkassen network sells card acceptance to merchants under the Bankomatkasse brand, with the acquiring itself operated by Global Payments s.r.o., a joint venture in which Erste Group held a 49% stake at end-2025.
