  • Jun 2025·acquired Novo Banco — BPCE signed a memorandum of understanding in June 2025 to buy novobanco, Portugal's fourth-largest bank, followed by acquisition agreements in August and October 2025, and completed the purchase of 100% of its capital on 30 April 2026 for a total price of €6.7bn. Portugal became BPCE's second domestic retail banking market.
