• Aug 2023·übernommen von Alcentra, Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Partners Group — In August 2023 Unzer's lenders Alcentra, Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Partners Group agreed in principle to take a majority stake, providing fresh equity and waiving part of the debt, subject to regulatory approval. German Wikipedia records that the lender consortium took over the majority; no closing date was found.
• Jan 2021·übernahm Clearhaus — Unzer announced on 21 Jan 2021 that it would take over the acquirer Clearhaus and the PSP QuickPay, with purchase prices kept confidential, and completed the deal after regulatory consent in September 2021. Unzer described Clearhaus as Denmark's second-largest payment service provider with a 40% market share, and the two firms processed over €5bn for more than 30,000 merchants in 2020.
• Dec 2020·übernahm Lavego AG — Unzer announced on 9 Dec 2020 that it was acquiring Lavego, a technical network operator that also processes transactions from petrol stations and vending machines, with completion expected in Q2 2021 subject to approval. Terms were confidential, and Lavego founder Florian Gohlke took a significant stake in Unzer as part of the transaction.
• Aug 2019·übernommen von KKR — KKR agreed to take a majority shareholding in heidelpay (renamed Unzer in 2020) from AnaCap, with founder Mirko Hüllemann and other managers staying on as shareholders; no party disclosed terms, and KKR handed that majority to its lenders in 2023
• Jan 2017·übernommen von AnaCap Financial Partners — AnaCap signed an agreement to acquire a controlling stake in the German online PSP heidelpay and received regulatory approval to complete in September 2017. AnaCap sold the majority to KKR in 2019.
