- May 2022·übernahm Getnet Adquirência e Serviços para Meios de Pagamento S.A. — PagoNxt Merchant Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Banco Santander, announced on 20 May 2022 delisting tender offers for the Getnet securities it did not own at BRL 4.72 per unit, the price of Getnet's October 2021 listing auction. The offers launched on 31 Oct 2022 and settled from 5 Dec 2022, and Getnet completed the squeeze-out of the remaining holders on 24 Feb 2023 before its ADSs left Nasdaq in March 2023; no total consideration was published.
- Nov 2020·verkaufte — Santander Brasil's shareholders approved the spin-off of Getnet on 31 Mar 2021, after material facts first published in November 2020. Getnet's shares and units were delivered to Santander Brasil's shareholders and began trading independently on 18 Oct 2021, with Getnet and Santander Brasil both remaining under Banco Santander's common control.
- Nov 2020·übernahm Wirecard's European merchant payments technology assets — Santander agreed on 16 Nov 2020 with the insolvency administrator, Dr. Michael Jaffé, to buy specialised technology assets of Wirecard's European merchant payments business, with about 500 staff joining Getnet, and Wirecard reported the sale closed on 28 Jan 2021. Santander did not disclose a price; press reports put it at about €100M.
- Jul 2017·übernahm Santander Elavon Merchant Services — Santander repurchased from Elavon, U.S. Bancorp's payments business, the 51% of its Spanish card acquiring business that it had ceded in 2012, taking the joint venture back to full ownership.
- Apr 2014·übernahm Getnet Tecnologia em Captura e Processamento de Transações H.U.A.H. S.A. — Grupo Santander announced on 7 Apr 2014 that its Brazilian subsidiary had agreed to buy all of Getnet for BRL 1,104m (about EUR 353m) through Santander Getnet, a payment service company it owned jointly with Getnet. The purchase closed on 31 Jul 2014 after CADE and central bank approval, and Getnet was then merged into Getnet S.A.
