Silverflow and Griner extend their card acquiring partnership beyond Cyprus into further European markets
EU
What happened
Silverflow and payments processor Griner said they are extending their card acquiring processing partnership into further European markets after an initial rollout in Cyprus, where Griner reported month-on-month transaction volume growth and shorter merchant onboarding times than on its previous setup. Griner uses Silverflow's cloud-native acquiring platform rather than building or maintaining its own. No transaction volumes, onboarding times or target markets were disclosed.
Why it matters
Acquiring processing is quietly unbundling: a processor that once needed its own scheme connections and certification work can now rent that layer and compete on onboarding and merchant service instead. Each such deal lowers the capital needed to enter a national acquiring market, which is how smaller challengers arrive in markets the incumbents treat as defended.
What to watch
Which European markets the pair name next, and whether Silverflow announces further processor deals of the same shape.
