Just Eat adds Revolut Pay at checkout in the UK and Ireland
What happened
Revolut and Just Eat Takeaway.com announced on 28 October 2026 that Revolut Pay is live at Just Eat's checkout in the United Kingdom and Ireland, in the app and in the online ordering channel. Customers with a Revolut account can pay for restaurant and grocery orders by direct account-to-account transfer from that account, authorised with Face ID or fingerprint, without entering card details or leaving the page.
Revolut is giving enrolled customers five times the usual RevPoints on Just Eat orders paid with Revolut Pay between 28 October and 27 December 2026. Alex Codina, General Manager of Merchant Acquiring at Revolut, said the partnership is meant to speed up everyday purchases and that both sides see room to extend it; Michiel Verberg, Head of Global Strategic Partnerships at Just Eat Takeaway.com, said Revolut Pay removes a step from checkout and called the launch the first stage of joint work on the ordering experience. Neither side disclosed transaction or user volumes for the deal.
Why it matters
Food delivery is one of the few European checkout surfaces with enough repeat frequency to shift a consumer's default payment method, and Just Eat is the largest such surface in both markets. Revolut is pushing its own account-to-account rail into that slot through Revolut Business and Revolut Pay, which keeps the transaction off the card schemes and off the merchant's card interchange.
It is the same pattern Revolut has run with Wolt and Glovo elsewhere in Europe, now in its two largest wallet markets, and it is the acquiring side of the business rather than the consumer app doing the work.
What to watch
Whether the RevPoints boost that ends 27 December 2026 leaves a durable share of Just Eat baskets on Revolut Pay, and whether the extension both sides hinted at reaches Just Eat's continental markets, where Wero and iDEAL already hold the account-to-account slot.
