BR-DGE raises £10m led by Bettor Capital to expand payment orchestration beyond gaming
What happened
Edinburgh-based payment orchestrator BR-DGE closed a £10m growth round bringing in US gaming-focused investor Bettor Capital alongside its existing Scottish family-office backer. The company says platform volumes have grown fifteenfold in under two years and that it is on track to process more than 100 million transactions a month by the end of 2026, with clients including The Hut Group and Betfred. Proceeds go to platform development, go-to-market and new geographies, with launches planned for H2 2026.
Why it matters
Orchestration is the layer where merchants decide how much of their volume any single acquirer keeps, so a funded UK orchestrator broadening from gaming into general enterprise retail is a mild structural negative for single-acquirer relationships in the UK mid-market. The round is small, but the volume trajectory and the enterprise client names indicate the orchestration layer is consolidating demand rather than staying a gaming niche.
