- Nov 2021·acquired by Koç Holding — After UniCredit's board approved selling its whole remaining Yapı Kredi stake, Koç Holding exercised its right of first offer and agreed on 8 November 2021 to buy 18% of the bank for about EUR 0.3 billion. UniCredit completed the sale on 1 April 2022 and said it was no longer a shareholder of Yapı Kredi.
- Nov 2019·acquired by Koç Holding (Koç Group) — UniCredit and the Koç Group ended the KFS joint venture through which they had run Yapı Kredi since 2002: Koç took UniCredit's 50% of KFS and became its sole owner, while UniCredit received a direct 31.93% of the bank, with a net cash consideration UniCredit put close to nil. The deal was signed on 30 November 2019 and completed on 5 February 2020, when UniCredit also launched a placement of about 12% of Yapı Kredi.
