- Oct 2021·acquired Fivestars — SumUp paid $317M in a mix of cash and stock for the San Francisco loyalty and marketing platform, its first acquisition outside Europe
- Feb 2021·acquired Tiller Systems — SumUp announced on 3 Feb 2021 the acquisition of Tiller, a hospitality POS software company already established in France, Italy and Spain, subject to regulatory approval and with no price disclosed. SumUp's release of 16 Mar 2021 listed Tiller among its recent acquisitions of POS software providers.
- Nov 2020·acquired Goodtill — SumUp announced on 19 Nov 2020 that it had acquired London-based Goodtill, a POS software provider for restaurants, venues and hospitality businesses whose clients process more than GBP 500m a year, for an undisclosed amount.
- Apr 2016·acquired payleven — All-share merger of Europe's two largest mPOS challengers. The combined company kept the SumUp name and processed more than €1B a year across 15 countries; financial terms were not disclosed.
