What it does

Operator of the Sistema Nacional de Compensación de Tarjetas (SNCT), the Spanish domestic card clearing scheme formed by the 2018 merger of ServiRed, Sistema 4B and Euro 6000 that CNMC cleared with commitments. It clears card transactions between participating Spanish PSPs and lets them settle their multilateral net positions in SNCE; the Eurosystem classifies it as a prominently important retail payment system (PIRPS). It is the source of the acquiring and terminal market shares CNMC publishes, and Redsys is the processor that sits underneath it, which is why STMP and Redsys are two different records.
