- Mar 2026·acquired Garanti BBVA Romania (Garanti Bank S.A. and Motoractive IFN S.A.) — Raiffeisen Bank Romania agreed on 28 March 2026 to buy all of Garanti BBVA Group Romania, Garanti Bank S.A. and the leasing unit Motoractive IFN S.A., from subsidiaries of BBVA for a purchase price of EUR 591 million, subject to adjustments at closing. Closing is expected in the fourth quarter of 2026, after which RBI plans to merge the acquired units with its Romanian operations.
