  • Dec 2015·acquired by Qatar National Bank (QNB Group) — National Bank of Greece agreed in December 2015 to sell its 99.81% stake in Finansbank to Qatar National Bank for €2,750 million and completed the transfer on 15 June 2016; QNB also repaid the $910 million of subordinated debt NBG had extended to Finansbank. The bank was renamed QNB Finansbank in October 2016 and rebranded as QNB Türkiye in October 2024.
