- Feb 2022·acquired LIS Pay S.p.A. — PostePay S.p.A., fully owned by Poste Italiane, bought 100% of the share capital of LIS Holding from IGT for 700 million euros, including 70 million euros of conventional net unrestricted cash. The deal was announced on 28 February 2022 and completed on 14 September 2022 after regulatory and competition approvals. LIS runs an Italian proximity-payment network of nearly 54,000 affiliated points of sale, offering bill payments, prepaid cards, telco and e-voucher top-ups, and merchant and enterprise services. Under the share purchase agreement between IGT Lottery S.p.A. and PostePay S.p.A., signed for its ring-fenced e-money unit (Patrimonio Destinato IMEL), PostePay acquired indirectly the whole capital and voting rights of LIS Pay.
