What it does

Santander group's Spanish acquiring entity, Getnet Europe, Entidad de Pago, S.L.U., Banco de España register code 6858, registered office Ciudad Grupo Santander, Avenida de Cantabria 3, Boadilla del Monte. Sells in-person acceptance (terminals, phone-as-terminal, integrations with till software, parking/fuel/vending) and online acceptance (ecommerce, pay-by-link, social) to Spanish merchants. Proposed as its own company for the same reason Comercia is separate from CaixaBank and Paycomet from Banco Sabadell: it is the licence holder and the merchant counterparty, and it is expressly not a credit institution.
