• Jul 2026·übernahm Luminor Holding (Luminor Bank) — OTP Bank signed a share purchase agreement on 20 July 2026 to buy 100% of Luminor Holding from a consortium of private equity funds managed by Blackstone and from DNB Bank. Luminor had total assets of EUR 15.9 billion in 2025; completion is subject to regulatory approvals and no price was published.
• Feb 2024·verkaufte Banca Transilvania — OTP Bank agreed on 9 February 2024 to sell OTP Bank Romania and its Romanian leasing and asset management units to Banca Transilvania for EUR 347.5 million, below their consolidated net asset value, and the sale of the bank closed on 30 July 2024.
• Dec 2022·übernahm Ipoteka Bank (JSCMB Ipoteka-Bank) — OTP Bank signed on 12 December 2022 to buy the Uzbek state's stake in Ipoteka Bank, Uzbekistan's fifth largest bank, in two steps, and completed the first step on 13 June 2023 with a 73.71% holding. No price was published in OTP's announcements.
• Dec 2021·übernahm Alpha Bank Albania SH.A. — OTP Bank agreed on 6 December 2021 to buy 100% of Alpha Bank Albania from the Greek Alpha Bank group for EUR 55 million and completed the purchase on 18 July 2022.
• May 2021·übernahm OTP banka (Slovenia) — OTP Bank signed on 31 May 2021 to buy 100% of Nova KBM, Slovenia's second largest bank, from funds managed by affiliates of Apollo and from the EBRD, and completed the purchase on 6 February 2023 after obtaining all regulatory approvals. OTP called it the most significant acquisition in its history; no price was published in its announcements.
• Feb 2020·verkaufte KBC Group — OTP Bank agreed on 17 February 2020 to sell its 99.44% stake in OTP Banka Slovensko to KBC Bank, and the sale closed on 26 November 2020. Neither party published a price.
• May 2019·übernahm SKB Banka d.d. — OTP Bank signed on 3 May 2019 to buy 99.73% of SKB Banka, Slovenia's fourth largest bank, from Société Générale, and the financial closure was completed on 13 December 2019. It was OTP's first bank in Slovenia; no price was published in OTP's announcements.
• Feb 2019·übernahm Societe Generale banka Montenegro a.d. — Crnogorska komercijalna banka, OTP's Montenegrin subsidiary, signed on 28 February 2019 to buy 90.56% of Societe Generale banka Montenegro, and the financial closure was completed on 16 July 2019. No price was published in OTP's announcements.
• Dec 2018·übernahm Societe Generale Banka Srbija a.d. — OTP Bank signed on 20 December 2018 to buy 100% of Societe Generale Banka Srbija, Serbia's fourth largest bank, and the financial closure was completed on 24 September 2019. No price was published in OTP's announcements.
• Aug 2018·übernahm Societe Generale Expressbank AD — DSK Bank, OTP's Bulgarian subsidiary, signed on 1 August 2018 to buy 99.74% of Societe Generale Expressbank, Bulgaria's seventh largest bank, and the financial closure was completed on 15 January 2019. No price was published in OTP's announcements.
• Aug 2017·übernahm Vojvodjanska banka a.d. (with NBG Leasing d.o.o.) — OTP banka Srbija announced on 4 August 2017 an agreement to buy Vojvodjanska banka, Serbia's ninth largest bank, and NBG Leasing from the National Bank of Greece for EUR 125 million, and closed the deal on 1 December 2017.
• Dec 2016·übernahm Splitska banka d.d. — OTP banka Hrvatska signed an agreement on 20 December 2016 to buy 100% of Splitska banka, Croatia's fifth largest bank, from Société Générale, and the financial closure was completed on 2 May 2017. No price was published in OTP's announcements.
• Jul 2014·übernahm Banca Millennium S.A. (Millennium Bank Romania) — OTP Bank Romania agreed on 30 July 2014 to buy 100% of Banca Millennium from Banco Comercial Português for EUR 39 million and completed the purchase on 8 January 2015. Millennium was the 22nd largest bank in Romania with a 0.8% market share.
