Paysafe extends PaysafeWallet to Croatia, Bulgaria and Estonia, covering the whole euro area plus Poland
EU
What happened
In a release dated 28 October 2026, Paysafe said PaysafeWallet is now live in Croatia, Bulgaria and Estonia, taking it to 22 countries and, by its own account, to every euro-area market plus Poland. The wallet carries an IBAN account and a Mastercard debit card, takes cash top-ups through paysafecard and bank transfers, works with Apple Pay and Google Pay, and sends and receives SEPA payments. The release names no merchant partners and gives no wallet user or volume figures.
Why it matters
Paysafe is a tracked acquirer and PSP, and this is the consumer half of its business filling in its European footprint rather than an acceptance change: the three new markets reach shoppers, not merchants. It matters mainly as a read on where the cash-top-up wallet model still has room in Europe, and as the distribution Paysafe can point merchants at.
What to watch
Whether Paysafe reports any wallet user or volume figure for the European footprint, and whether merchant-side acceptance of the wallet follows in the new markets.
