Elavon names Wally Mlynarski as CEO, succeeding Jamie Walker

What happened

On 18 March 2026, Elavon appointed Wally Mlynarski as CEO. He joins from Bank of America (merchant services/receivables) and previously spent 7 years at Elavon as CPO. Elavon processes $576B annually for 2M customers. Brand refresh also launched.

Why it matters

CEO transitions create inflection points for vendor relationship reviews. Mlynarski's CPO background suggests emphasis on technology-led innovation. European experience from prior Elavon tenure is relevant.

What to watch

Monitor Mlynarski's first 90 days (through June 2026) for payments infrastructure signals. Any procurement review or RFP activity would be significant.
