Competitive win
Castles Technology wins Loomis Pay European rollout across Nordics and Spain
EU
What happened
On 27 January 2026, Castles Technology announced selection by Loomis Pay (POS and digital payments division of Loomis) for its European expansion after an extensive market review. Deployment covers Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Spain using the S1F4 Pro portable terminal, S1P2 PIN pad, and S1U2M4 unattended device, plus CasHUB TMS and Marketplace.
A pilot in Norway (17 locations) preceded the full rollout. Software developed with Finnish payment specialist Seitatech.
Why it matters
Castles Technology winning a Nordic-focused deployment after a competitive review is a direct competitive signal for Ingenico. The Nordics are a core Ingenico market, and Loomis Pay's explicit choice of Castles after an extensive review suggests Castles' Android devices are now considered viable alternatives to Ingenico in enterprise-grade European deployments. Acting Group CEO Jean-Philippe Niedergang's involvement signals Castles is prioritising European market share.
What to watch
Monitor Loomis Pay's deployment scale across Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Spain through 2026. Track whether Castles Technology wins additional Nordic acquirer or PSP accounts. Any losses of Ingenico accounts in the Nordics to Castles should be flagged immediately.
