  • Jul 2023·acquired by Ministry of Finance of Ukraine — The Ukrainian state took over Sense Bank (formerly Alfa-Bank Ukraine) after the National Bank of Ukraine decided on 20 July 2023 to withdraw it from the market; the Ministry of Finance and the Deposit Guarantee Fund signed the purchase agreement for 100% of the shares on 22 July 2023, for a nominal one hryvnia. ABH Holdings, the former majority shareholder, called the move an expropriation and said it would seek full compensation.
