NBG Pay is the Greek merchant acquirer spun off from National Bank of Greece and majority owned by Global Payments, providing card acceptance in store, online, by phone and on mobile to merchants the bank refers exclusively to it.

Deals

  • Dec 2021·acquired by EVO Payments — NBG agreed in December 2021 to spin off its merchant acquiring business into a new company and sell 51% to EVO for €158M, valuing the business at €310M, with a long-term exclusive distribution agreement. The sale completed in December 2022, and the stake passed to Global Payments with its purchase of EVO in March 2023.
