What it does
Joint body of the five German banking associations, BVR, Bundesverband deutscher Banken, VÖB, DSGV and vdp, which took over the work of the Zentraler Kreditausschuss in 2011. It agrees the sector's common positions and drafts standardised rules for payments, card payment schemes included, so it sets the frame German acceptance runs on rather than serving merchants itself.
